HPC meeting update

HPC welcomed two residents at its August meeting who raised issues about crime within Hagley and how HPC operates.  Whilst HPC is unable to directly impact on crime we have been raising residents concerns with the Police for many months. We agreed that residents should report any crime they see via 101. HPC has also arranged for the Police Crime Commisioner to  attend a public meeting in Hagley at 7pm on Monday 16th Oct at the Gagley Community Centre. Hopefully if this is well attended, and the crime numbers have increased, the police will have to increase their presence in Hagley.

Whilst minutes of HPC meetings are publish we are planning to have a new website once the Pavillion is completed and resources become available.

Other issues discussed included:
  • the installation of gym equipment on the playing fields (which is part of the section 106 agreement) hopefully before the end of this year;
  • the planting of ten more trees in the playing field to replace those being felled for the works.
  • HPC also received a report on the number of motorised vehicles caught speeding on the A456. Hopefuly the mobile speed traps will have the desired effect of slowing done the traffic
Our next meeting is 11th September and residents are encouraged to attend to raise any issued they have.
